Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I guess I am on a posting roll. Does anyone get nervous when people get into their depression and woe is me too far? I used to do this. Now that my mood is better, I focus more on positives. I have a friend, when we get together, it's kind of heavy. Like, so, "what did you do lastnight?" Her: "I was reading about near death.." Ugh!
Middle of day: "I am so overweight.. Woe is me." (But refuse to exercise or not overeat) "I can't stand it. waaahhh."
End of day, she states: "we all here are Spinsters, Old Maids (she literally says this) unchosen women, that is what we have in common. The ship has sailed!"
Good god!!

Some people never see a postive anything, they have been posting the same thing for years.

If she wants to label herself with negative words, that's bad enough, but she doesn't need to make blanket statements about others.
She could put someone in a gloomy mood that was happy.
