Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
60 ish, alone, grown up kids who visit few times a year if am lucky. not fallen out I am just not part of their lives now. I suppose that is the thing with boys isnt it, they get more involved with their wives families and forget their own.
my health is deteriorating and my dr doesnt care, its not that they dont i suppose just that they dont have the capacity. ..
every day i just want to die, an accident , as long as no one else was hurt would do the job. i wish every night i dont wake up. i have no friends, i have tried groups, etc but there were already established and had their own friendships groups. i dont have the time of money to do other hobbies or do volunteering.
what is the point. my hands hurt so much, dr didnt even see me just prescribed gel. i dont matter anymore as i am old, no value, disposable. i lived for my kids, i never thought i would end up so lonely like i had never had any. i suppose it is good they are all independent and living their lives. they just seem to have forgotten me. i dont want to rock the boat and ask them for help, i dont want to be a burden but just even a text once in a while to ask how i am, is that too much to ask. i wonder how long it would be before one of them would notice that i was dead. i even wrote a letter to them recently as i felt suicidal which is unusual for me, i dont want them to feel bad, it is so hard to go on sometimes. stuff in the house piles up and i just cant do it. sorry this is so long..

that your doctors and family are not acknowledging how bad
things are. I think that calling 988 is a good idea. You need some big changes in your life. You should not have to suffer like this.
There are lots of services available. You sound like you are suffering from extreme depression which is an illness. Hang in there and let us all know how you are doing.
You or them?
Duh.................. YOU# 1
With access to internet information you can find out about all sorts of treatments for your physical ailments that are effective. I'm 58 with kidney disease, but man am I trucking. Do what I want when I want. 60 is important to social security but otherwise it's another blessed day in the sunshine. Take it easy with the dyeing stuff will ya I tried to kill myself twice and as you can see from this e mail killing yourself is not easy. After wanting to die in ways like you say I just couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger. Even after 48 sleeping pills and a 1/5 of vodka. No BOOM!
One point of view from an outsider.
Don't you want happiness, healthiness, and good fortune to come to your children? Of course you do so if you feel like they are not including you then raise a little hell and get their attention.
AS for medical doctors well they are a lot like an honest mechanic. RARE.
Good luck with the medical. Yes it is frustrating but you may have some good benefits coming to you. Sounds like you could use a break? If insurance is a problem then consider Medicaid. Fill out the application on line. Depends on your state.
I friended you and I hope I hear from you. Good luck. Get straight
Will
No it won't change your family situation however it will deal with your depression
There are MeetUp's for all kinds of things even just coffee and I imagine for depression and they're free
I would invite your kids over for lunch and just have a grilled cheese or something simple... bowl of soup
If you're feeling this low I would talk with your son(s) about this.... Wouldn't you want them to talk to you??
Sending another big hug and a blessing.... xo
It's good that you're seeing a doctor about your health. If you could and if want, try to see another doctor, one who would actually see you and try to find out why your hands hurt.
I also think about wanting to die. I think about dying in a car accident, being hit by a speeding truck, or just dying in my sleep.
