Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Ok, this is somewhat an apology. First, although this is my computer, other family members use it. What I didn't realize, but probably should have is what they did besides sending emails and looking random items on the web. I realized it when I noticed a response to one of my posts said I was 15. I'm several years beyond that (although I was carded recently), but I know I didn't put that there and someone else did. Not very hard to guess who. Nontheless, I fixed it and have taken this site out of favorites. Typing the address and logging in is a very minor inconvenience.
Obviously, I'm ....very upset, to put it mildly, that someone thought that this would be funny as well as reading my posts. I guess I should be glad I didn't keep a journal here (That's safe, literally, under lock, dial and key that is always on me).
Nonetheless, I think I should apologize if anyone here thought I was here under false pretenses, identity, etc. I was thinking of letting this nick sit idle and getting a new one, never mentioning this. However, one of the few things my father has thought me was to admit mistakes and apologize for them. Many times I found that annoying as it usually did more harm than good. I hope it's the latter in this case.

I think my family understands that DS is my place. But I don't let the computer fill in the password for me. Of course it is all written down somewhere!

Unfortunately your privacy is still compromised. Now that 'they' know your DS name, they can Google it and see a LOT of your DS posts. Your presence on DS is pretty much an open book. The main thing that is anonymous is your DS name,.. and now they can link that to you.

maybe new name and password is in order and tell family DS helps get things straight in mind.

Well, I did a search on Google and my nick with DS came up first, then the myths and legends. I'm not sure about change my nick (I did change my password). Despite being on the net for almost 20 years, there's actually few traces of me there or even in real life. One can get complacent. I'll keep an eye on the browser history to see what's going on.

No need to appologize. The meddler should appologize to you.
