Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Just when I begin to think there is some sense of normalcy, my thoughts fall back into a reality of constant sadness and worry. I used to think this part of my life would be somewhat fulfilled and at peace. Instead, I feel like I'm running on fumes against a clock toward a certainty of misery, heartache, and pain. In perhaps a silly kind of way I have more worries about who will take care of my pets if something were to happen to me. There's a sense of loneliness in me that loved ones and friends would never believe is eating me alive. Why is it so difficult for me to reach out to others for help and support?

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
But, Yah, Family and friend's They're hard to talk, especially when they be the problem.
Like me, I'm trying to deal with a family with a family that have a mentally Ill son, Who I can never talk to them about, cause they feel like I'm judging him (PTSD)
So we're here for You.......No judgement.
Hi GreenEyes, as a cancer survivor I do try to live a healthy lifestyle. It's on the mental side that I feel very isolated and without a voice.
