Wellbutrin

I have been taking wellbutrin the last 2 weeks. Now the last few days I feel out of it. Like everything is foggy. I smoked weed when I was younger and its almost exactly like that. The disassociated feeling. To be honest it has me scared. I worry that I will start missing periods of time or get in an accident driving.

Has anyone else had this experience with Wellbutrin?

I have been taking this for years, and it just makes me feel happy. Not stoned. I did a lot of drugs in school, but this one is not like that for me.

I started Wellbutrin to stop smoking and my doctor lets me stay on it. Perhaps you are taking too big of a dose? Or maybe you are having some kind of reaction?

You can call the doctor and ask, there are many meds and many different kinds of body systems, it takes them a while to match them up sometimes. I'm sure your doc can help

I've never had this problem on Wellburtrin. In fact, my doctor told me to take it in the morning because it will sometimes cause you to be more alert and not sleep. But every med works different on each person. Usually takes a couple weeks for side effects to go away, but if it's bothering you have your doctor give you something else.

Are you taking anything else? I'm taking Lorazepam for anxiety and that made me feel out of it at first. I've been taking it about a month and finally getting used to it, it makes me feel tired, but it's helping my anxiety so I deal with it.

Wellbutrin is a stimulant, which means it can make your nerves feel jumpy and your head a little dizzy/foggy. Depending how much this is happening and to what degree, I would ask the doctor if you need a lower dosage. That could solve the entire issue! But no, once the meds kick in and you've been on them for about a month, I would say you would notice a little dizziness, but not ridiculous amounts. Good luck.
