that is a sarcastic remark. first I'm put on "probation" at work for 3 months because of my poor attendance and because I had an emotional meltdown the day I found out my father is dying, and people were pushing my buttons that day, even thought they KNEW that I had just gotten this information. I work in a heavily poisonious atmosphere. when I say poisonious atmosphere, I mean emotionally. I hat the emotional setting here, I work with very cruel and cold hearted, back stabbing females, worse than I have seen any place else. I am 42 years old, yet many often think I am much younger, and so younger women who are attractive are constantly at war with me for some reason, like they think they are competting with me for something, which is entirely STUPID, I have no interest in thier "beauty" or thier looks status compared to my own.

Now I have learned that the male who works in the same office as I do is first cousins to an ex fiancee who hurt me so deeply 20 years ago. I feel like I've been stripped naked and set out in front of hungry, self centered and no emphathy at all types of wolves, who are just waiting to dive in and tear me shreds behind my back. I know that's what they will do. and then to top it off he's probably goig to fill my ex in on everything about me today.

I have a new kind-of-boss at work that I have considered to be the psycho villian from hell... but we managed to have some kind of meeting of the minds yesterday and I can now see her as a person with her own issues, and her own problems, and her own responsibilities.
I can see that from her perspective, I am the difficult one.
This brings it down to size. I am never trying to be difficult, I am in fact trying to do my job. Miscommunication is hell, and makes the people we miscommunicate with seem to be evil, powerful, gigantic ogres.
Be kind always to the younger women. No matter what, remain kind. See the best in them as you would your children. They will relax. This isn't a competition, but to show this you have to relax.
But in closing I cannot tell you how sorry I am for your loss. My father passed away from a brain tumour and he was my daddy... And people can't understand why that brings a woman in her forties to tears. Well hell. Let's hope they never have to find out the hard way.
What pisses me off is they wait 6 weeks to even say anything about it, What a bunch of whining wussies.
