hi there.... i'm new to this board. but been on DS for a few years i think.
well... i guess i'll start by telling why i'm here....
my bf of 3 years has been battling depression, and i'm trying to be supportive in every way possible. he recently got put on welbutrin for his depression.... and ever since, he has had no sex drive at all. who here is on it? and is this a common side effect?
while we are on the anti depression subject...
i'm mainly on the fibromyalgia board here on DS. i've been suffering from FMS for i don't know how many years now.... i got put on 60mg Cymbalta for treatment. i've had leg pains since and had ibs and constipation.... does anyone else get this too from cymbalta?
and the new drug Savella... anyone take that yet? how is it?

My sex drive was not affected, I just had a dry mouth and shaky hands.
and plus my bf having depression. i really wish i could lift him up... he means so much to me.
we are both former Marines... and altho we have hard times in life (like now, especially with the economy) i know we will make it thru this. it's just another bump in the road. but he tends to feel like he may fail.... especially since he can't find work right now. he is deciding to go back to college on the GI bill, and i am behind him 100%! i just want him to be happy....
anyways... thanks everyone for sharing your input. there are so many anti depressants out there... i guess if this dont work he may switch to another. i just want to see him happy again.

I have to say,that Im on Wellbutrin and zoloft and one or both of them has takenthe labiddo right out of my life, I despise the word cause I never think of it. I have to agree that several anti-depressants will have this kind of side affect.
A suggestion......... more foreplay.......just a thought
I just started taking savella last night. I tried the cymbalta, lyrica ect.. they didnt help much if any.
