Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Secondly, to me sometimes depression can be like being in a small boat caught in the wake of a larger vessel. You need to turn your boat into the waves, hold on tight, and ride them out.
Take things one at a time, and talk to your doctor/therapist.
I hope this feeling lifts for you soon.
But it seems like I've been feeling this way forever and it will never end.
you might have to live hour by hour (yes, i've been there to tell myself i only have to get to 5 o'clock... stuff like that). maybe minute by minute - but you are doing it...
and yes, it is too much... how much can life ask one person to suffer? but think about this, how many more will suffer if you give up?
And no one will suffer. The world will be better off without me.
tell yourself each day that you only have to get through today - then just force yourself to do it again and again until things do get better...
who knows what you are going to contribute in the future - what if you give birth to or help raise the child who will cure cancer? what if?
call the suicide hotline if you have to...
