Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
But I have had a similiar experience. I went to the ER once because I slammed my abdomen into a counter at work and cramped up so bad I thought something might have ruptured. In the hospital bed with the curtain pulled, I heard a nurse or doctor say, very loudly "Wow, lots of little girls with attention issues in here tonite!"
Uh...excuse me? I couldn't believe he said that. I walked out (pain had subsided, still no idea what it was) and really wish, looking back, that I had told somebody WHY i walked out so soon.
Very, very sorry that you were treated this way. Try to let it roll off, and not dwell on it. Hugs and peace to you.
They had no right to treat you this way..............
They are jerks..........
YOU are wonderful :-) :-)
How do you act when they mistreat you? Are you good at standing up for yourself!!!? Are you firm about what you want in the way of treatment? Tell them what kind of help you're looking for, if indeed you do know what you think should be done!!!!
Have you seen a nutritionist to discuss what kind of diet you should be following for your Diabetes? Or are you an expert on that already since you're living with the disease? My mom has Diabetes type 2 and she was surprised at what she could and could not eat.
You shouldn't have to do a damn thing but show up to be treated with compassion and I'm sorry that's not taking place!!!!
Good luck!!! I hope they treat you better in the future!!!!! (Good luck with redoing the kitchen, too!!!!) (((((Hugs)))))
