I was advised to "control my focus" by doing something creative that I can totally get lost in. This removes my mind from the ever-lingering issues I face, and allows me to get lost in something creative. I use two creative outlets on bad days. One is quilting which totally consumes your thoughts for hours. My other creative focusing method is Zentangle. It is actually fancy doodling, and I can get lost in making one Zentangle pattern for a few hours. Look up Zentangle on Pinterest and get a tablet an see if this will work for you. It has been a tremendous help for me. Keep going my friend, and take back your power, don't allow IT to have power over you. I offer much love and healing thoughts for you.
It's usually easier when you leave home, get your own place, especially when you're dealing with the kind of abusive you are dealing with in your family. the trance of the family needs to be broken so you can get some clarity and freedom for yourself.
