Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

That's my experience anyway.
Unfortunately a disclosure of mental illness can lose you your job, so I really wouldn't grasp at straws that people are supportive or care in work. People are generally arseholes and you have to go to appropriate places to seek support and once there then weed out the good people who make you feel supported from the chaff.
If the world were lovely and caring then yes you should be able to share your problems with everyone. However it's a very gruesome history in human society especially those labelled mentally ill.
Don't risk your well being by being so open with everyone.
Be chosey with your heart. The world is insanely horrid at times why unleash that dynamic in your life?
Because it shouldn't be like that??? Well, be prepared for having your opportunities in life severely restricted and being slandered where ever you go. The world is looking for a witch hunt and you just announced yourself fair game.
I personally wish to leave all association with mental health behind. My only regret was that I didn't recover in private therapy with a small number of close trusted acquaintances. Now I have government files slandering me and following me for at least twenty years before they are destroyed
