Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
sometimes I feel like im ok in my replies and then I see
I may be twisted.LOL
so I get so many different views on something, it opens my mind, and i think hummmm well, i didn't think of that. then that what helps me.
Anyway, due to what I am dealing with, the combination of DS and a good therapist whom I have been with for 2 years now works for me.
I think it depends on you, and what you need.
six months ago and have been trying to research other treatments e.g. I found DS and like the treatment optios right here, Music, Excersize is next reading as much as possible about the illness all I have to do is build up the courage to get out of the house. I intend to try and do two or three things a week that are not my normal routine.
Wow that answer seems kinda useless...
She never simply gave me answers; instead she would draw me down a mental path, allowing me to come to a conclusion - or not - on my own. Cheryl worked with me, taught me things, and I always looked forward to seeing her. I just can't afford it any more.
If you go into therapy, remember that it is a team effort to help you get better, with you doing the work and the therapist coaching. In that regard, it's a lot like taking physical therapy for an injury. There are no magic cures or quick fixes in medicine; it takes a lot of time and effort and it's different for each patient..
i am also on meds, and i come here. But i have so many issues, i guess like a lot of people here, that i am dealing with several things at once, and for me, cuz i have the right therapist, it keeps me grounded, but i do still struggle, i do not think that will ever change.
but everyone is different, you do wat works for you. not everyone reacts to therapy the same way or meds the same way.
