Hello Everyone:
Has anyone here been tagged as treatment resistant?
Here is what I mean. The meds. that I have taken,
the ssri's are very, very, very stimulating. When I
take them, I get so wired that I cannot sleep, so I
have to quit them. Under my suggestion, I said to
my pdoc, "Is there something I can take to offset
the super wired feeling?" So I'm soon going to
try Clonazepam to see if I can strike a ballance.
I can tollerate such a tiny amount of paxil.
thanks, Scott

There is no agree as yet as to what exactly constitutes treatment resistant depression. Bottom line though, it is when one repeatedly fails to respond to antidepressants. I have treatment resistant depression. It doesn't sound like you have been on enough different families of medications (only ssris) to meet that definition. They are working very hard on this--thank God--as it is a terrible thing to have.

Robyn555 said pretty much what I would say - give yourself some time, there are many different kinds of antidepressants, and sometimes it takes a combination to work for you. There are also some non-drug therapies you can try that will supplement your meds, and possibly help you need a lower dose.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
