Trazodone works very well. It will help you sleep and get some rest. It is mild and I experienced no negative side effects. But that is just me. Everybody's body chemistry is different so you may have the same or different results...good luck.

I hated it. Made me get a stuffy nose every single time. I like Seraquel. Well, actually I adore Ambien, but the dr wont let me have it anymore. dang

I was on Trazodone several years ago,

It worked like a charm for about a year, then one night out of the blue it didnt work. It hasnt worked since.

I just "plateaued" one night, I never felt a tolerance building up.
It's like something just turned off. Shame.

Same thing for ssri's, even at max dosage I always plateaued around one year. I tried them all again 2 or 3 years after that,
but just got hyper side effects.

I wanted to use it for depression I have lorazepam for sleep but was wondering together maybe it would be a good combo. ?

Most People I know that have used it had one side effect and that was congestions. It would plug them and made there sinuses plug up . I have been told it works well for sleep. Ambian also works well , but has more side effects and people have been known to do funny things when taking it .

It works for me with sleep but not for depression. No side effects. Maybe a bit groggy at first in the morning.

I can only say that I hope it works well for you and your able to get some sleep. I didn't do so good on it but that is my case with most medications. I would wake up so tired it felt as though I didn't get any sleep. However, it does help you to fall asleep. Let us know how you do on it. Hugs GB
