Yesterday I had to tell my 20 year old son that a friend he had known since elementary school died. Not just died but that she was murdered in a drive by shooting. I hoped my son would never again be touched by murder. His father was murdered when I was 5 months pregnant. It absolutely broke my heart to utter those words to him yesterday. And such a sensless act. Its a sad world we live in. Babies killing babies. This young lady had her entire life ahead of her, 21 going to college. And just driving down the road bam someone opened fire on her car. It breaks my heart for her momma and makes me want to lock my kids in the house forever. But I know thats not a way to live. Plus I dont have a house to lock them up in. Its just sad and all I want to do is crawl under a blanket and hide. Cant do that either. Got to get the ball rolling on making my situation better
