of the rest of my life. The 2015 holidays are behind us. I have to start preparing for a new year and I hope a more pleasant life.
I have encountered many stumbling blocks this year, and the previous 2 years. I wish to move forward but feces occurs and something keeps pulling me back every time I think I see a light at the end of the tunnel.
Things could be a lot worse, but then there are 5 days left in this year. Perhaps they will get even better. My bills are all paid and I have saved enough money for one more month of bills. I do not know how long my job is going to last and the transportation I have is quite unreliable a.nd I have no one to call on when I need help with something.
My home is in need of some repair and I will have a tax liability this year, (but I dont have to face that til mid-April.)
I am so much more fortunate than many, to be healthy and not dependent on any medications. I thank God every day for that blessing.
What are your thoughts about the new year?

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmonĀ

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I have a nice home that I love..Just bought it over the summer...Working on many home improvements that keep my mind going about all I want to do. I have suffered some huge losses in the past few years..I'm grieving those losses. Even through that, I know I have blessings also..Two of those being my dogs, my brother, my husband when he is good, my new house and a very special friend that I love like my new family.
Continued good health and prosperity to you sixtyplus and all members on the depression board..I wish all of you more inner peace and love to see us through.
What I have to do to survive sometimes trumps my feeling depressed because the little successes of daily life will carry me.
I am giving this new year a good try...I want to reduce my debt ratio....I have a lot of debt out there on credit cards....
I will also have a tax liability this year with my business since I am self employed on SSDI....I do need to come up with the cash but this year I have decided to try doing my own taxes...last year the CPA I had been using since 1999 fired me...I went to HR Block because I did have issues that I did not know where to turn to work thru on taxes...it was very expensive and my cc still has some of that balance on it now today a year almost later....
This time though I think there is nothing in the way of me doing my own taxes....I will surely hope and pray I do not get an audit from the IRS but if I do I had it the way I had it and that is so that I am being honest about every penny I make or spend in my business....
Oh this is a good thread Sixtyplus....hugs and Happy New Year!
Life was good today, except it was a slow business day at work.
But now I am ,home and it is raining. I'll put my groceries away and eat soup and cornbread for supper.
About the only thing that can go wrong now is if the storm knocks out my power.
It got pretty boring around here. I did my usual chores and tried to not think about family that seems to have no care for me. They all have lives of their own. I am the only unencumbered one.
I am looking forward to going to work tomorrow.
.
Hope all of you have a great day and good week to end the year. I am certainly going to try.
My day did not get any better. When I left for work I discovered the road from where I live into town had flood over night and I had to turn around and go the long way, 20 extra miles, to get to work so I did not get to do the errands I wanted to do.
I wanted to do a little bit of shopping after work but when I got there discovered I'd left my purse at home, so that has to be postponed too and I just drove those 20 extra miles back home.

God surely has a plan is why these things disrupted my plan.
