I've been fighting the system my father puts my family through. The system where he pits us all against eachother and then acts like he is the good guy when he makes us feel better again. My father is buying my sister a $6,000 puppy, and it will personally be hers. Why is this such a big deal? My familly has been dreaming of a puppy for years, so we saved up that money. Now he is spending it on my sister. Just her. It is causing so much drama, and my father is being sweet to only her, and verbally abusive to everyone else. I've been fighting against his behavior for so long, the only one aware of how wrong this all is, and I feel so tired of trying. I can't fix this, I can't do anything but watch us fall down this hole over and over and over.

Sounds like your dad is a real control freak, and he is using money to divide and conquer the family. The only way I know to fight that is as a united front where nobody accepts this behavior. But it may be way beyond that.
How dies your sister feel about all of this? Is this puppy a new shift in her favor, or is she a standard favorite? How about you mother? Are any other family members willing to work for a better situation?
