So three years ago, I had a regular Christmas. Mom and dad and I under the same roof. We saw family. Everything was swell. Last year, parents were divorced, mom was living in Tennessee with her new husband, and it was just dad and I going to see family. This year, mom is still in Tennessee, I'm spending the morning with my boyfriend because my dad will be at his fiance's house.
I'm supposed to go to my future step mother's family's house tomorrow (Christmas eve) and receive gifts from people that I have never met. I am super uncomfortable with people buying me gifts and spending more money than I would spend on myself. Also the whole thing with my dad and his fiance makes me uncomfortable in itself. I've known only my mother and father for almost 20 years and now they're both with somebody else like nothing happened. My entire foundation was shattered not even two years ago.
I just really don't know how to deal with the holidays. My dad is shoving this woman onto me, hoping that I'll like her and approve of them moving way too fast, and it's just frustrating me. There's a bit more back story to it, so if you're curious then ask. I'm a little sleepy right now. I just need advice. I feel obligated to spend time with her family when I really don't want to. I'm not being bratty or spoiled, I'm genuinely overwhelmed and all of this is foreign.

If you can (after the holidays?) get a moment with dad's fiancee and get to know her. You might broach the subject of what to call her. If she asks to be called 'mom' you can tell her no, that name is taken, but look for something else.
