My roommates decided today was gonna be a cleaning day. When I got up to do the dishes, they pretty much told me that my help wasn't wanted. So I'm sitting here in bed, just reading. I feel like I should be down there. It just seems that since I was discharged, they treat me like I'm broken.

Many of you know Mr K told me to "shut your mouth" in March 2025 when we took a road trip to Alpena Michigan. Or maybe they'd already decided who was going to wash the dishes. Sometimes we get a little oversensitive, do you think maybe you misunderstood where they were coming from?
If you have a generally good relationship with them, why not just tell them that you feel fine, and you want to help out? Or maybe you could do something different, like order pizza for everybody and tell them you wanted to treat them, since they did the cleaning?
Here's a way to work it back in, (if you like) make cookies or a cake and then present it, it may be a nice ice breaker, and sweets always make people smile, it will, also, without them knowing, show them that you are able to do things, and hopefully a nice discussion will ensue.
Best of luck, when my daughter came out, we went for waffles, and just talked... she said it was cool.
