Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I got this tattoo after I was released from a 8 day program that helped me with my depression. I met a lot of people there who inspired me and made me realize I wasn't alone. This tattoo is not only a reminder of my journey but the journey of everyone else who suffers from depression. All of our stories are so unique yet somehow all the same.
Anyone else have any ink that inspires them? Gives them hope? A gentle reminder?

Sadly I follow a religion that is against tattoos, But I think Tattoos are wonderful and can mean so much and be so poetic.
So I don't have a tattoo, but I actually have an anklet that I wear, it is a simple gold chain that I wear because I struggle with self harm from time to time, and I would scratch my skin open on my feet a lot, so as a trophy of one month of not doing that I had gotten this little pretty anklet to remind myself that while I am not perfect, I can accomplish my goals and I can change :)
So I know it isn't quite the same or as elegant, I think the symbolism sticks with me very well <3
