Strong response! Sometimes you get caught in a downward spiral before you realise it and that's what I saw. If I can stop the spiral I will. I suspect mal's spiralling badly and looking for something to hang on to. Hope he's still hanging on, one minute at a time. Keep distraction high, make a cup of tea, anything to break up the feelings dragging you down.

I have, only one time. It was through a bad breakup and my parents were not there for me, I felt abandoned. I took 15+ Excedrin. Luckily I told my mom right away and she immediately called 911 and poison control. It was scary when I was in the ambulance, I was shaking, so nauseous, falling asleep, etc. They ended up making me drink charcoal and keeping me for 30 hours to observe. I was lucky I had no damage to my body and I survived (there are 3 really bad toxins in Excedrin). I have not thought about doing it again, I really hurt my family and do not want to put anyone through that again. I regret it, but it taught me a huge lesson.

In November. I woke up still drunk from the night before and I'd had a massive row with someone.I took an overdose of everything I could find without thinking the consequences through.(That person doesn't know) A while later when I sobered up a bit I crapped my pants and phoned a friend. They calledan ambulance and it was a massive overdose. I was on a heart monitor and for a day my heart beat was 54-60 a minute.I had a long time to think about what a twat I'd been, and coupled with constant fear I think I learnt my lesson. Never again

i wrote suicide notes to my two disabled children and left a note about the cremation of my remains...
i got the kids off to school and took a extension cord and secured it in the garage....then i realized the one who would find me....would be my 12 year old son...

A couple nights ago I tried to o/d on my insulin meds injecting 15x's the normal amount; drank a shot of whiskey then layed on the couch waiting for the grim reaper to escort me away...
I dozed off on the couch & was awakened dripping in sweat, heart was pounding, but I was still alive; frustrated & cursing I pounded my head with a closed fist and vowed that next time I will succeed. I don't want to hurt anyone but I feel life will go on w/o me - no one wants to be around my negative energy anyways..the intense hatred I have for myself over-rides any love there is for anyone else...I HATE ME SO MUCH!

I attempted suicide Oct 25, 2011. I have had suicidal thoughts a couple of times since and I am still upset I wasn't successful.
