i am a graphic designer at a screen printing and embroidery company. one of our clients is the volleyball team of the state university here in town, which has been a client i have done a considerable amount of artwork for.
on one of their most rent designs i used the same font i use on all of their designs, since they really seem to have a preference for it: britannic bold.
well, i just got the response to the email that says: "for this one, could you maybe use a bolder font, like britannic bold? that's what you have used before and we don't understand why you did not use it for this one." i understand not everyone has an eye for this stuff.. but don't act like you do when you have no clue what you're talking about.
really? i have been getting these kind of idiotic emails all day! i am going to have to wait to respond to it or else i am going to come off sounding like a smartass.....

But yes, "here's your sign" works as well! Google it if you don't know what it means! Tons of really good short ones in that skit!
most t-shirt designs, though not all, incorporate cartoon-like illustrations, be it for a mascot or whatever. a few times the reply has been "that looks like a child drew it.." i know what they mean to say is that it looks more childish than what they were looking for, but they want something with more detail... but why do they think it is ok to tell someone that what they do for a living "looks like a child drew it." i have never seen a child draw like that with such precision. geez!
a forum post from a guy stating that he found it too expensive to buy books for his course when he only needed them for a short time and how he wished there was some kind of rental shop like there is with dvd`s.. but with books.
