with time and help from others.
I don't know who I am or how to live as crazy as that sounds.
I just read your post on anxiety , I'm sorry I don't how to offer any advice
It's like your caregivers were already defining you, pre-programming you with limited beliefs, and clipping your wings before you even got a chance to define who you wanted to be.
Sadly, their negative filters on life and others...can be so damaging. I understand what you are going thru.
There will come to a point, where you are going to realize...it is just what it is...you might have lived down to someone else's poor expectations of you...instead of living up to your fullest potential.
I think you should challenge one by one limited belief or criticism you get...and realize you have the power and ability to be and do whatever you want.
Never lose hope or faith...that you are important. Your opinion and words matter...and that bumps in the road happens to all of us.
Sending you light and love!
Thank you for your amazing kind words
Have not read your profile yet. Dunno if you were abused nor neglected (same thing to me) as a child. There is a hint you were.
Fault? No way ... no way a child's fault.
Glad you are with AA and have been sober. One day at a time, and all you can do to stay sober. Intoxication does NOTHING for .... anyone, ... not for long at least.
I agree, you need other types of professional help. If there is a long wait, ... so be it, but seek that out. AA for one thing, therapy for other things.
You are doing all the right things. Sorry it's a long wait, but it's worth it.
We are with you, Sir. Rely on us to try to help you.
Best of luck. We have a particular group for AA THOUGH YOU ARE WELCOME to post here.

Stay on it,... rise above it all. A good, happy life is waiting for you.
He saves those who are crushed in spirit.
I'm not laughing at you...really laughing with you (depression robs alot...and fuck I'm going to keep my sense of humor)...b/c I've recently felt a shift in the wrong direction with my mood...and have recently started forcing myself to exercise more...and I am about to play racquetball in about an hour despite feeling like I don't want too. LOL.
But I guess forcing ourselves to do things we don't like that are actually good for us...can help us feel better in the end right? LOL
Hope you go for another forced swim today! Have an awesome day! :)
