Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I am struggling with depression. I’m barely making it financially. My boss is verbally and mentally abusive. She SCREAMS at me in front of my coworkers. I went to HR to tell him what was happening. He said he wouldn’t address it unless I said I wanted to. I told him I would like to wait but I think he said something. That was 2 weeks ago. On Monday at 8:00 she hauled me in her office. She accused me of FRAUD because I punched in on my phone. She said I was punching in and not actually being in the office. She reamed me for two other ridiculous things. She proceeded to tell me I was being forced to take a “decision day” and that I had to bring in a Corrective Action Plan when I returned the next day. I had to use my personal time off. And I asked her if thehour she spent going off on me was going to be taken out of my vacation time. So the next day I bring my CAP in and she basically made me rewrite it to HER WORDING. I know that this is retaliation but how will I prove it? if I go to HR she will find a reason to let me go. I am looking for a new job. I’m only being paid 9.25 an hour and I work my butt off. I am falling into a deep depression. Like I wake up everyday praying

I got an email from Kohl's that I had a 40% off coupon for today and tomorrow only. It took me about an hour but I placed an order and got some great deals. I have been wanting a new dress. I like dressing up sometimes. My birthday is coming up and I have dinner plans at a nice restaurant. But, honestly, I'm a little out of control again. I went through this in the fall. I bought...

Has anyone else noticed that clearly speaking and doing things intentionally is liberating because it helps combat the feeling of depression and a sense of hopelessness? Let me share a little more: in my experience, when those who have tried to project a hidden agenda that is obviously not aligned with integrity and well-being, it's best to be firm and speak clearly from self-awareness and...

Sorry, I guess I just have a lot of questions to try and understanding whats going on at your work.
Just the licensing, registration, and corporation fees to start a business cost several hundred dollars, then you have to have Inventory or product to sale. If its a services rendered type job your looking to start you have to have supplies to do the services....all of this costs money.
Where exactly are people supposed to get all this money to start these businesses? Peter you and my ex-husband would have gotten along great. I went to University for 12 years, obtained 3 Degrees in different fields so I would always be able to support my children no matter what, and he flipped around from job to job, attempting to run his own business a handfull of disastrous times.
He's been remarried for 4 years now and talked his new wife into helping him start his own business, unfortunately she was as stupid as he was and now they've filed for Bankruptcy and the Tax Payers of NC are paying their Bills. You don't just wake up one day and say, "hey I think I'll start a business today!"
It takes planning, it takes capital, it takes knowledge of how to run a business and it takes time.
I am sorry to hear you have been experiencing these situations and I could only imagine how difficult it has been. A few things I would recommend, if you are comfortable. I would document specifics what was verbally said, body language or harsh tones, when it occurs, the accusations (details about the situation she claimed you did). I would then meet with the HR and state how you were concerned that since your previous HR conversation that you feel you have been treated unprofessionally and that she is now making accusations. I do feel based upon what I am hearing that you are not feeling in the place to find alternative employment, and if this is accurate you will have to request that HR gets involved in order for them to resolve the issue. I would focus on observable behaviors and state how it is impacting your job performance. Also include that you are open to feedback if there are specific areas of improvement needed to improve your job performance (this will only demonstrate that you are not just upset because of constructive feedback). However, it seems in these scenarios that she is displaying personal bias, which needs to be addressed. I hope this is helpful, and if not and it continues I agree that you can find alternative employment. Hang in there! What helps me is focusing on what you can do to perform optimally so she doesn't have a reason to give you feedback. Best of luck!
I didn't know people could punch in to work on their phones. I've been out of the game for years.
Big hugs
