Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Every time I overhear some rich kid telling their friend about the awesome trip they took during spring break, or see one of them pulling into the parking lot in a brand new vehicle (as I run frantically off the train to get to my class because my bus was late..), or I hear someone complain about how their parents only send them x-number of dollars a month, or how they can't stand living with their parents.. etc etc etc.... it just kills me!!! It's like.. please... for the love of all that is good in this world... if you're lucky enough to have any of these things, don't fucking downplay how lucky you are!!!! Some of us don't quite have it that easy.... some of us have to pay our OWN tuition out of our OWN pockets.... some of us have to rely on public transit because we aren't even in a position to begin thinking about buying, let alone insuring, a car... some of us have computers that are out of date or no computer at all.... some of us live in tiny little holes in the wall that are so tiny that we thank our lucky stars we are not claustrophobic.....
grrrrrrrrr
Now instead of feeling stressed i am just mad LoL
that's a little better I suppose!!!! hahaha
My first couple years of uni I managed, between working my ass off during the summer and taking out loans (private and govt) to not have to work during the school year... and the A's were plentiful on my transcript.... last semester I was working too and, lo and behold, my average went from A's to B's.... hhhm, how'd that happen?
I really can't afford any more black marks on my transcript if I want to go to grad school....
:S
