Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Hello,
So I have been diagnosed with depression since 2014. I have been on several different medications. Currently I am taking cymbalta 90mg. I have been on it for I want to say almost three months. I am tired of not being able to feel. I am again thinking about coming off meds. Does anyone have any opinions regarding depression and cymbalta? I would like to know your thoughts vs. just what the doctor thinks. I just don't feel like it has helped.
Blessings,
Carina

It's National Doughnut Day!Which three would you like? (never mind the calories, fat, or sugar content; just go with what you would pick if none of that mattered and whatever health issues you might have that would keep you from eating one in real life can be cast aside for this exercise as well... have at it!)

Celexa and Lexapro are pretty low side effect meds and they don't have the "zombie" feeling.
But probably everyone is going to give you a different opinion. Your Pdoc is the only one who knows your history and blood work, so you might check with him about changing meds.
And you can update us on your progress! Those with experience coming of meds like yours can weigh in on how it went for them.
