For the first time in 2 years today. We talked on facebook. When she asked me to call her, I lied to her. But its for my own sanity. My sister has schizoaffective disorder. And she doesn't like staying on her medication. I told her in 2 weeks, if shes stayed on her meds since we talked today, I would call her. If she goes off her meds, I'll tell her no.

God I miss my famiy I am sure it is because I have mental health issues it is so hard i dont even get to tell them good bye if something happens my inner child has DID I did not even know until it was too late to help them undersand too lttle too late

Boy do I understand! My sister and I did not speak for 5 Years. She has always openly hated me I had a heart attack 2 years ago and her only response was ' pity didn't kill her". We recently started talking when my Mother died but like you ,il keep it to a minimum for the same reason, my sanity. My sister, like yours is mentaly ill and will not get help. I know it is hard, she is your sister but keep strong and protect yourself. Until she keeps healthy she will only hurt you and drag you down. I feel for you and wish I could hug you.

She keeps off her meds so she can have kids. She loves the idea of being a mother, but not the idea of ACTUALLY being a mother. She has two beautiful little girls. Both of which aren't in her custody. My mom wants me to reach out. She says my sister is trying. But what if I get close to her and she just rips my heart out again?

She might. But just maybe she won't too. I would not wish what I have gone through with my sister on anyone. I don't know the whole story of course, but maybe try but keep your guard up. Be careful of you first and foremost. Good luck sweetheart
