Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Sometimes we, in order to prevent bigger problems later, must 'create' a smaller problem .. its unavoidable.
If you are convinced the direction of your relationship was not 'right', you are commendable in your making necessary 'adjustments'.
i believe that ther's midicine for that, and therapy. he sounds really dependent and perhaps his reasoning is a little off.
you're not a bitch, you have to go with how you feel. and you let him down gently. hopefully, he'll get some help for himself first and then maybe find someone who he can have a relationship with.
Years ago I realized it is not going to bed with someone that proves you love them, it is getting up and facing everyday problems that proves it....
Obviously, your kind and caring was not enough to build a life on. Being kind in words and heart does not prevent the other person from their feelings. The ending of any relationship, be it 3 months or more is a difficult situation for both people.
As a kind caring person, you can call or contact him to check on him as a friend. Being there not to lead him on, just to be there to let him know that his life is worth living....
Thank you for sharing this time.

You have done the right thing for both of you, and most importantly for yourself, you are a smart switched on person, and I congratulate you for so being.
Part of me wonders if you called it off because you couldn't handle his anxiety. That is totally valid reason for breaking up and you should not feel any guilt. You cannot be a supportive piece of his life if his anxiety is a roadblock for you. It would just harm you rather than help him.
Whatever your reason, I think you did the right thing.
