what it was is, i bought sons family a puppy, only a few weeks later he swallowed a plastic dummy ( he was a sod for stealing them out babys mouth ) ends up with blocked intestine, sadly he died, vet said he was too small to withstand an operation so were grieving for buster and have a large vet bill so because vet wouldnt treat without payment first and buster looked so ill i used the rent money, well 3 weeks of it, 330. now landlords ringing every day and coming round being nasty, i told him the truth and am willing to pay 50 a week off debt but he keeps going on about eviction, i know he has to have a court order to do this but i wouldnt put it past him to turf us out illegally....he has a deposit of mine that i paid when i moved in so he is not out of pocket, cant sleep for worrying, help !! xx

I'm in Australia so no idea of the law in the UK so it might be an idea to look at your legal rights in this. I hope it goes all right.

I don't know the law in the UK but here in the States there are laws known as the Landlord/Tenant Act. I would recommend that you talk to a solicitor ( I think that's the right word) and see what your rights are.

It's hard to have to make choices like that. I'm sorry to hear that little Buster didn't make it. I can see how that would make you more depressed. I know I'm not looking forward to when I have to have my little girl put down. She's almost 10 now and I know I only have a few more years with her. It bums me out thinking about it.

i explained to the landlord that buster was very ill, he seemed ok about it, now he is like i want 330 now !!! i cant possibly do it, he is a shit landlord anyway, house is damp, other things wrong with it, he wont do repairs, its a no win situation

I know part of the rights here in the States are the ability to withhold some of the rent in certain situations if the landlord won't make necessary repairs. That's why I suggested getting in touch with a solicitor. They can explain the law to you as it is in your area.

wow your landlord sounds a lot like a couple i have had int he past! Pay rent on time every month and one month something comes up and you cant and they treat u like dirt! Luckily i have an awesome one now. I would contact a lawyer.

Your landlord sounds like a complete and udder asshole... and very uncaring....

I hope things work out for you honey... I am so sorry about Buster.. That would have broke my heart

idk about there like other said...but i do know in the US he has to take u to court then if the judge dont work anything out it could still take up to 30days...but get him to take atleast 50 if he takes ANY MONEY AT ALL TOWARDS THIS THEN HE CANT KICK U OUT

thanks guys, i know he cant legaly evict but he owns a house down the street and changed locks when she was out :(
