What happened in your marriage that got you to the point of being so bitter at your husband?

ecotime, are you sure you want to know? lol..I got the classic "bait & switch" done to me. I had NO idea he was such a momma's boy, so selfish with money, he used to drink with my sons, & now my youngest is an alcoholic, he has lied to me more times than I can count, made LOTS of EMPTY promises..that's just a taste. I got divorced from my first husband at 21, & have done all I can to avoid another one. I almost cant leave him now, aside from being sick, I cant do that to my youngest right now. He is in a bad place & would blame himself for the divorce, I know he would. I cant & wont do that to him. A few years back, my husband got himself in trouble with credit cards. My name was on NONE of them, but he told the attorney & his accountant that it was MY fault, because I stayed at home with our sons. I stayed home with them for about 7 years, & have always worked. He truly threw me under the bus. He took away the last bit of trust I had in him & ruined any sense of security I had. I would rather die than spend the rest of my life with him.

Ohhhhh, do I know that feeling of being stuck. I so sorry you are there right now. Hope your living situation changes soon. Has not been long since I got out of a relationship like that.

Keep in mind that it's all about him, and not about you. Take care of yourself first and foremost until you are strong enough to get out of a relationship that appears to be toxic for you. Hang in there and know we are here for you, okay? Lots of hugs. GB

Thank you all for listening to me, I don't know what I would do without this site sometimes. I had a major meltdown yesterday & told my husband how I felt. He admitted he hasn't been a good husband. I married a little boy inside a man's body. I think he is too weak to change. I blame his mother for molly-coddling him his whole life. Yet, she thinks she was a great mother. Here I am, blaming myself for the way 2 of my sons have turned out. I have been praying & praying to God to rescue me. I remembered I have to be patient & wait for His answer. I just want out.

Still praying for you friend. Has anything changed?
