Ive read on here many times to keep fighting and never give up.
Whats the difference between giving up and had enough?
When I go out to eat I stop when Ive had enough I pay my bill and look for the exit. When II go to a movie and I don't like it I look for the exit. Well I don't like my life and Ive had enough so its time to look for the exit.
So tell me whats the difference between giving up and had enough?

Just thought I would join this group now that I am a widower. My wife passed away May 28th. She was "The Wind Beneath My Wings". My husband and I got our foster license last month, after 3 years of hard work (we had to start over multiple times due to family dramas and Mom's open heart surgery). Giving up to me means abandoning an activity with the intent to not resume it. I gave up membership in my church when I felt that it was not meeting my needs, and that I was not with the "in crowd" that mattered.
Depression can really drain us of energy, please don't give up!
I hope you get what you need...I hate this illness...its so totally draining.
We reach satiety and temporarily halt the activity, but go back to it when the need arises again.
I believe we are all here for a purpose, though it may not be apparent.
Your life makes a difference somewhee, somehow.
And yes, we would miss you if you were gone. Hold on.
Give up on life .... and there go ALL options. We were given life in order to live it until its natural end. Violating that is a very bad idea.
She had no answer for me.
Remember that the turmoil we find ourselves in IS temporary---although the pain we currently find ourselves in is a strong deterrent to rational and (dare I name it!) hopeful thoughts.
The fact remains that there WILL be good days, too. And those are still worth fighting for.
Any small victories we can accumulate, can add up over time. And can vanquish what now genuinely seem like insurmountable obstacles. I do know this, firsthand.
Sometimes even to live is an act of courage.
