Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I highly suggest a good therapist, and a psychiatrist that can help with medications if necessary. It also helps to schedule small activities into your day even though you might not feel like it...a trip out to get a coffee, a walk around the block, set aside time for journaling, time to watch a good tv show....anything that breaks up your day and gives you a little something to look forward to.
It's great you posted and reached out for support here....keep reaching out and don't give up. It does get better.
I went to bed early and woke up briefly when people made noise at midnight but if it were not for the sweet escape I think I would go mad.
If only I were given half a chance at a decent job and would stay well and had something good happen once in a while I could cope. Its just so hard right now. I know people have it worse but I just can't cope. Maybe once I get meds and feel better it will help. Until then I keep praying.
Thank You,
QP
