Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Don't know if this will help you feel any better but it is amazing that your bills are paid for and that you will be OK once you heal...I say this because where I live if you don't have health insurance (which I now pay a whopping $700. per month for and which I'll soon be unable to pay as it keeps rising) and something bad happens to you, you could be totally screwed. There is a trapeze artist I'm aware of here and she fell 14 ft on New Years Eve while performing at a huge festival because of rigging issues. She shattered both wrists and may never be able to hold anything in her hands again and she fractured her skull in two places. She has no health insurance and her bills are in the 100s of thousands of dollars as she needed several emergency surgeries and a long term hospital stay. Many arts communities are trying to raise money for her to help pay her bills but her financial and medical situation looks bleak. Perhaps that helps you to put a different perspective on things? Sorry if it doesn't, just trying to help.
((((hugs))))
I just needed to get that out. I know it could be way worse - if I lived elsewhere, if I didn't have my family and my roommates, if I hadn't been wearing a helmet... so many things could be worse.
I am doing much better today. The pain is becoming more bearable and my daily life a little more manageable. My face is looking like my face again and just looks like I got in a bit of a fight or something.
I'm going to start going to school again next week.
