Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
It's wild I'm right here in the middle of them in Orange County. I feel really helpless they don't want you to go anywhere near or you'll be in the way. I went to the Red Cross last night to offer up my house, at least a couple of bedrooms. but they didn't need to use them. I'm still open if they need them, but I just want to help. I can't imagine what they are going thru.
I guess this should remind us again that we do have things to be grateful for.
I know alot of you think that these were all people that are rich and can afford it, that's so far from true, many poeple were just barely scapping by, many actually gave up insurance to keep the roof over their familes head.
Please keep these familes in your heart, and give them strenght.. I know I will..

Offer ur time, donate Blankies, clothes, toys etc... as they have all that stuff in the shelters. My neighbor owns a pet shop & they donate pet food to the evacuees & shelters. Lots of hotels/motels offer up rooms at very low rates & quite a few accept ur pets.
Anything u can do for them is greatly appreciated by all.

I know these are not just rich people who "can afford" to lose everything.
You are amazing to offer up your place for people to stay in if they need it. I would do the same!
My thoughts are with all who are the path of the nightmare.

I try not to watch it on tv. Too much of a trigger for me. All i know is there r fires & where thry r.
