Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
As far as work goes, you are at the mercy of your boss. Try to go with the flow, you know things will get back to normal. I know teaching is a hard job, people dont realize, its more that the teaching, its all the dealings with parents, politics......Good luck, try to stay strong, we need good teachers.
It is a shame to go to work and be attacked like that. Maybe your boss had a bad holiday! My daughter went to one of those accelerated classed. I agree with you, it was twice the work load. Maybe Mr. it is not challenging should put his child in a class for children who are genius.
Sorry your holiday was so messed up and your return to work. I hope things get better for you.
Keep coming back, ok? how about a hugg?
That dinner with your family sounds horrible! Your brother seems to have some problems, hypochondria or narcissism. And if your mother is mean, well, I think staying away from the both of them is the best thing you could do for yourself.
As for your boss, I bet she was embarrassed and hurt by the parent who complained. (And maybe she had a bad dinner with her family over the weekend, too! ;)
So she takes it out on you, even though she knows you're doing a great job. It's kind of like the guy who gets yelled at by his boss, then he goes home and kicks the dog.
Since this just happened today, maybe give her a day or two to calm down, then go in and talk to her about the changes. Write down the points you made here, and see if you can get her to relax and not make these sweeping changes.
If you go in with a really cooperative attitude of "we have a problem, let's work together on a solution" maybe you can get her to agree to one or two small changes, instead of changing everything.
