Zoloft reduced sensitivity for me. Wellbutrin is claimed to be a good alternative to medications that suppress sex performance.

When I was on Wellbutrin, that was about the only thing it didn't screw up.

Thank you all for your answers. Now I want to tell you what happened after going off zoloft for about 6 wks. now and yes, I do have my sex drive back. It has been over ten yrs. I am still on wellbrutin. This helps with my compultions, like smoking and others. I know there is one med out there that is just right for me. But I have tried so many and all I get is weight gain or am hungry so bad. I won't take any that do that. I already am over weight. I did ask my dr. to help me ween off. I had headaches, aches all over and feeling just sick. It went away about the time it was out of my sytem, which has only been a few days. But please don't go off meds just because of low sex drive. Your mental health is much more important. I feel ok but I do act like a woman on pms alot. So I will keep track of my feelings. I thank God there is a site like you to help with live through my illnesses. I have ever tolk my dr. about it, and he wrote it down. So I am sure he is learning alot more than any books can.

When I took wellbutrin I had no problem with sex drive, but it causes me terrible anxiety. SSRIs and tricyclics will kill your sex drive in many people.

prozac is the only medication that I have taken that completely took away my sex drive. Wellbutrin Im on that now and it does not effect my sex drive at all.

thank you all for writing. Great, hm. I am just starting Prozac, because welbrutin wasn't helping much. I was nervous inside. Aggravated easy, and a down right b-----. I realize it isn't worth my emotional health if I am not on something with welbrutin. My husband and I talked and he thinks I should go back on prozac. Actually I was on zoloft, but I took prozac in the beginning, yrs ago and I was a different person. It was great. But it quit working as well, I want to try that one again. Thank you all , You all are so great. I will let you know how I am doing when the prozac kicks in.
