Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I know coming out of isolation can be hard and sometimes it's hard not feeling bad about the lost time. But remember it's never too late to re-enter the world. Just stay focused on now and moving forward.
Good luck~
Although I have kids so HAVE to go out, that is surely my saving grace. Half term hold here so I made myself text a couple of people with kids so I have to meet up with them. Only people I am comfortable with though.
My fella gets me out a bit at weekends, maybe for a meal or just to his place. Means I have to have a shower/bath too so I am respectable.
Without these people in my my life,I would surely be worse off.
Is there any friend who you could be brave enough to make contact with again? Family member?
It is certainly a comfortable place to be,but not healty.
Self-isolation is the primary tool of depression that leads to self-loathing & eventually self-destruction. You have to break this cycle now and force yourself out of this perceived comfort zone you're in. This site is a good first step but it does not substitute getting out there and engaging in direct interaction with others..
