Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

The only advise they can give to people who are afraid of crowds besides medication is " Do it Scared" . Just stick yourself out there a little bit at a time and after a while it wont be so scary and you will get over you Phobia. The same pertains to you and your homework. Block out the fact that you don't want to do it and just jump in and do it. It won't be easy at first but the more times you do it this way the more it will become a pattern in your mind.
Procrastination leads to laziness , which leads to depression and low self esteem. For example you can sit in your living room and look at sink full of dirty dishes. You're just starring at them thinking how badly you don't want to do them and just like with your homework assignment the more you think about it the less you want to do it. What you need to do is just get up and do it without thinking about it. You can create bad patterns in your mind or good ones. You can train your brain so to speak to be receptive to anything including doing the dishes without thinking about it. Going to the gym and shutting out the, ' I can go tomorrow", " I don't feel good today"… Same with your homework. Its something you've got to do. Done think about the ,"I don't want too's", "I can do it later". You can train your brain to block those negative messages you are sending to your brain by jumping into your homework. Putting those negative messages aside. After a while you'll be doing your homework with a good mind set.
Don't be so hard on yourself.
I went through something similar tonight! I had a mental breakdown thinking about all the reading I have to do and how much I don't want to do it. But im normally good about not stressing too much over school so this new frustration is scary.
I was thinking I want to meet someone who is genuinely pleased with their life. I feel like we shouldn't have to work so hard to be happy and satisfied each day. But maybe it's like this because I'm depressed. I've been working hard for so long im just mentally exhausted.
I'd recommend giving yourself time for breaks to rest your mind. Doing assignments in small bursts. And rewarding yourself for accomplishing tasks. Rewards always help me get through my courses. Both short term and long term.
