I did that not too long ago but it was because I didn't want to drag my friends down. They had so much going on in their lives that I didn't want to burden them with my stuff. It had nothing to do with them, it was me trying to do the best thing that I knew to do at the time. I realized after, through their posts and their forgiveness, how much I had hurt them. I love my friends.

Thing is i have read your profile and I so like your take on the environment etcetc, but could never approach you to be a friend because of you suspicion, shame because maybe we could have been friends. too late cause I just cancelled my account so I can now speak my mind and not be scared of you. tried for so long; this post has been so good for me cause it got me to at least say goodbye

elly sometimes all it takes is reaching across the board to gain friendship ........ I can ask someone if they want to be friends and if they are not willing at the time do to whatever reason ,,,,,, I will understand ........ But I will continue to "be a support network" for them on the boards and maybe one day gain their trust ....... Trust is something that is earned these days and not given and the reeason way could wallpaper a mansion,,,,,,,, I am sorry you have closed your account .... I can vouch for a few on here that I would allow in my hone and do anything I could to help them in the Real World ...... DS can be just the internat but we do build friendships that go far beyond the typed words on a screen

I am a friend of Elly's and she did close her account. I tried talking with her but she closed it before I could send a reply to her message. She really was a good person and lady, and I will miss her but she is gone.

Errrrr....elly, with all due respect hon you really need to get a grip.

DaisyLou has as much right to her opinion as does anyone else. She is a friend of mine and she is very warm and caring. You have to understand on the internet people can be whoever and whatever they wish to be. I am totally me here just as I am anywhere, just as you are, but anyone can say that. It's harder for some people to trust and they should not be put down or made to feel wrong or guilty for that. Just cut her a break, ok?

I am sorry you felt like you needed to close your account over something like this. It shows me you have bigger issues to deal with if you are going to let someones personal choice affect you this way....unless I misunderstood and you closed your account for different reasons. If that's the case, please accept my apology and good luck to you.

Oh...and Old Biker...I apologize for going off track like that in your thread but I felt I needed to stick up for my friend.

Beth if you ever talk to elly let her know to come back hon, there is a place here for all of us and all opinions, if someone is triggering you just put them on ignore, i learned that last week, works like a charm!!!!!
