Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Sorry DJH but in my opinion this post seems a bit dodgy, I mean why not tell us about the meds derived from it and not the illegal substance itself????
And what is the real purpose of this post, in my opinion all it seems to imply is that you advocate the use of salvia.
Again just my opinion but I don't think that this is an appropriate post
Sorry
It causes an extreme euphorics state that lasts about 20-30 minutes, along with muscle cramps and tingling limbs.
Its an mind alterer and comes from a cabbage native to mexico

Its is legal in most countries but questionably so, it comes in up to 30 strength tubes, if you suffer any sort of mental illness do not touch it.
QUICK! Somebody move this post its in the wrong category!
What next? prescribing heroin for hyper-active youngsters?
I would recommend marijuana if you wanna FUCK yourself up, at least its relatively tame (as far as narcotics goes).
It is a hallucinogen although for many people no more so then pot, depends on your mind/body reaction more then anything else I suppose.
It is also a relative of the sage plant which can be made into a relaxing tea which can also produce mild euphoria if the leaves are fresh when brewed.
Like most other drugs there is a lot of misinformation about this one particularly from the hysterical mob that want you to think something like pot will turn you into a mindless, drooling idiot. Anyone seen reefer madness? What your doctors regularly perscribe are more dangerous to both your mind and body then either pot or salvia.
I think a more recent approach has been to use dmt which is a plant based substance that has been used for shamanic journying, hits much quicker, ends much quicker but can kick ass if done alone. Point is with these drugs they were ment to be used with a guide and to serve a purpose not as a recreational substance.
Salvia can be fun, it can also go very wrong. We can get 30x strength stuff in the UK and that has to be used with care.
Or else you feel like a clam shell.
One of the things I really worked hard on with my kids was making sure that they knew what drugs were out there, what they could do to them/for them both the good and the bad and what they might do to their bodies over time and the chances of addiction.
I know only an idiot can tell a kid to 'just say no' and expect them to listen but I do feel if there is a chance someone will try a drug then they should do so with adaquate information before hand.
We think we do that with our rx meds perscribed by those who are supposed to know what they are doing and yet 100,000 people die each year in the U.S. from these "safe" drugs used as perscribed.
I understand what your saying totally.
Experiences with Salvia Divinorum[sp?] 10x Extract:
Approximately 1.5g smoked
Immediate onset. Loss of 'gravity' sensation- a literal and nonexaggerated feeling of floating. The world became a blur and inanimate objects began to take on oddly human charactaristics. I remember looking out my window to see a dandilion plant creeping up one of the supports for my deck and seeing a little "plant child" with "yellow flower eyes" waving hello to me in the breeze.
No longer coherent, I don't think. Lost in a dreamy world of plant life. Watched the blades of grass blow in the wind and look like a flock of little birds scuttling across my lawn. Very, very vivid colors, but not a lot of "movement" like you'd get with mushrooms or LSD.... more a misinterpretation of everything seen... Very warm and earth-friendly experience... though I would honestly consider it to have been overly-intense. Spend the remainder of my time frolicking about outside.
In my personal experience there is -zero- seriously possibility of misuse of this plant... one of the few I've taken with very little desire to repeat the experience. Left a bit of a residual "uncomfortable" feeling with me....
Nothing wrong with this plant... Stay away from the kids... Find something else to do.
