has anyone read / experimented with this drug? i know nothing about it...literally just read about it. would love to hear what anyone knows about it.

To answer the origional question... I have never heard of it, but I'll check out the link :)
I can see that after the sorrect research has been done and medication could then be derived from it that this may be interesting but I dunno,.......
Maybe it's just me that feels uneasy advertising an illegal drug........
Just not a very good artical unless it was written to let ppl know that they need to go get it now before it is shanghied by those stupid feds. Oh yeah I deffinitly on my way but first I need some shrooms then payoty,,oh crap I for got the xtc,,, and wy stop there I NEED..............
I think the artical while informative was just a salvo by some goverment agency that is going to shut it down but still needs whide spread support from the public. this is what I'm talking about, they advertise, some one byes, when a lot of ppl bye then they say "oh no look at these figures, we need to shut this down" Rmember there is a war on drugs here in the good ol slowly turning sociolist republick of U.S. of A.
Of course I might be wrong, but I remember when they brought those drugs in and showed us what they were, I was nine, the burning question in my mind was hummmmm have to check those out later, and, I did......So never trust your goverment cause I remember when that f'er said cocaine was not addictive,,, YEAH RIGHT.... 1) Salvia (Salvia divinorum) is a plant in the mint family used for medicinal and spiritual purposes by the Mazatec Indians in Oaxaca, Mexico.
2) Salvia is currently not classified as an illegal substance in the United States, Canada, or the United Kingdom; however, European nations such as Denmark, Italy, and Belgium have banned its use.
3) Salvia became more popular in the United States several years ago and is also known as La Pastora, Yerba Maria, Diviner's Mint [or Sage], Dalvia, and The Shepherdess.
4) In the United States, salvia is grown primarily in Hawaii and California and imported from South and Central America. It is available from the Internet and from various head shops
5)Salvia is basically a hallucinogenic (like mescaline, ketamine, etc)
6)Generally, fresh salvia leaves are chewed and swallowed. They may also be dried and smoked, similar to marijuana, or the leaves may be crushed and the juices extracted in liquid form for oral ingestion or inhalation.
I dont know of any studies being done on it for depression or any other medical conditions but I wouldnt mess with it.
