Did you guys know that Robert Munsch has a history of depression?
I am doing a research paper on him right now for one of my electives and I just learned that he has struggled with depression since he was a very young man.
I just think it is interesting, and it is a good example of how well many people who struggle with depression cover it up in their social and professional lives. I would never have pegged such a funny, zany person as someone who shares this struggle.
It actually makes me feel more comfortable with the fact that I struggle with this knowing that there are people like Robert Munsch who have persevered and have led very successful, fulfilling lives. I know there are so many times that I, and all of you too, seem to lose hope and wonder if life is worth living, and wonder if we will ever live truly fulfilling lives and I think this is a fine example showing us that we can if we focus our time and our energy on things that make us happy and that we truly love.
Robert Munsch spent many years struggling financially because he was doing what he loved more than anything else in the world - telling stories to children. I think we can all learn a lesson from him and take a page from his book - let's spend our time doing what we love! Maybe one day.. it will get us somewhere we want to be......

Johnathan Winters, Rodney Dangerfield, and many other talented people like these have or had a daily struggle with depression. The world sees the funny people, but does not see the tears behind the smile. Good Post.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
