Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
It's not. It's a location. A place. A space you are happening to be in.
when you don't know where the door is, you can fear you'll end up in that location without having intended to get there. You could be forgiven for thinking the door to it was being alone.
but it's not.
Being alone is fine.
Being alone is another location. And it's a good place to learn how to go.
Be alone. Learn to be alone. It will bubble up your issues for you, one at a time. You can experience them, cry for them, get them behind you. Being alone is a good way to OFFLOAD depression and to move slowly away from it by jettisoning these bricks of misery as you slowly process them.
So trust your body to get you there. Just let yourself be what you are, and you will naturally come right. You're growing now. And growth hurts. Don't overthink this. Trust your body to take you gently through this. Give yourself some time out from life - friends will still be there after a month.
