Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
it will get better. people say that but i don't believe it's true much of the time. things are getting progressively worse for me. i am working my ass off trying as hard as i can in every way and things just keep getting thrown at me. i didn't go to work today. no sleep. no work. maybe lose my job.
i was reading on some other site how some poor guy had no love in his life ever. he was in his 60's. He had hung on. No reward, just breathing. living that way. why. why or how is that even possible especially when some people have so much.
i tired of all of it. i think about ending my life every day. it would be a blessing i know but i'm too scared. i would not judge anyone for ending their life if they are not loved. or if they are in unbearable pain.
i wish there were always hope or a way out but there isn't. i have lived DECADES waiting and trying and hoping for something better and it just gets worse and then watching people who just coast along with so much just falling in their lap. I'm going to sleep as much as I can today. as much as i can with the rats or whatever climbing through the walls.
my family absolutely sucks. but that's another subject. i'm sorry that i post here so much. i know i annoy the fuck out of pretty much everyone i come in contact with. but you know what, i would love to just stay home and have nothing to do with anyone on the outside, so there

I got an email from Kohl's that I had a 40% off coupon for today and tomorrow only. It took me about an hour but I placed an order and got some great deals. I have been wanting a new dress. I like dressing up sometimes. My birthday is coming up and I have dinner plans at a nice restaurant. But, honestly, I'm a little out of control again. I went through this in the fall. I bought...

Has anyone else noticed that clearly speaking and doing things intentionally is liberating because it helps combat the feeling of depression and a sense of hopelessness? Let me share a little more: in my experience, when those who have tried to project a hidden agenda that is obviously not aligned with integrity and well-being, it's best to be firm and speak clearly from self-awareness and...

yea, my therapist said i'm a "worker bee" that was very well put. I work super hard but just get nowhere.
I've been around a long time, though. just starting to want to give it all up. I've been trying and trying for so long.
In these ages, we cannot depend of a job to survives. Look at Youtube. There are millions of videos teachs how to make money. Social medias have a lot of groups and schools teaches how to make money.
Those people get everything because people like them and flock to them. Nobody wants to be around people like you. They don't help you, they don't give you breaks or tell you about opportunities.
You're miserable because you're intelligent. I bet like me, you see right thru fake bullshit people? And you can't stand the thought of being fake and not genuine? Somehow that would make you less human right? Life is suffering after all.
But guess what, those fake stuck up people are for the most part happy. Happier than you anyway.
I have a stupid story to share. I have always struggled making friends with women because they are so boring and vapid. But I learned how to make friends with them by playing a ridiculous, obscene video game called doa Xtreme 2. Basically you play as I giant booked over excited girl on a beach vacation. The point of the game is to make as many friends as possible and get them to play with you at various sports and activities to win money to buy stuff. It's so sad but this game simulates exactly how women are. You can bribe a woman with flattery, gifts, and favors to be your friend for however long you want. That's all their shallow minds care about.
Being fake works so well on so many people it's insane. We unfortunately live in a world dominated by extroverts. If you are shy and quiet, intelligent, observant, patient.... ultimately you will find little reward without hard work.
My advice for you is create an alter ego for yourself. Research what people think of you, what they would change about you, and what qualities successful people possess. Then get to work and try your best. It's gonna be hard and feel wrong at first, but you can change and come out of your shell. You can be whoever you want. Right now it sounds like you have nobody to depend on but yourself, but in reality you are depending on others approval and support to lift you up and out, but they aren't fixing your life or helping are they? You have to change and get better, and then ironically people will like you and flock to you. It's stupid that life is like this but you own your own future. Do whatever it takes if you want that future to be a good one.
