Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Not all vitamins are created equal and unfortunately you often have to try quite a few things before you find something that works for you.
that is funny.
Lovaza is a quality prescription omega 3.
I have heard that these can be good to fight anxiety and depression:
folate (folic acid) and a
B complex vitamin. B6 is calming and B12 is energizing.
Calcium and magnesium are calming.
I find vitamin C to be energizing.
Fish oil, or a fish/flax seed combo; take them with antioxidants (such as vitamin A C, E, resveratrol, ALA, CoQ10) because fat oxidation is damaging to cells, so the antioxidants counter that oxidation and free radical cellular damage.
D3-- helps you feel better and it helps to fight off viruses. take with calcium and magnesium.
Probiotics - help with gut health. Did you know that your immune system is 70% in your gut, and also your gut manufactures serotonin. So it would make sense to keep your gut healthy if you want to feel good, which leads into the topic of diet. Eat a healthy, balanced diet with fresh, organic fruits and vegetables. Drink more clean water to help your body gradually detox. Toxins could be contributing to making you feel bad. Also, limit sugar and refined carbohydrate consumption (ex: flour and white rice, pasta, baked goods, etc.). These have been scientifically proven to make people feel bad and gain weight. You want to have a balanced blood sugar, though, so don't completely eliminate sugar from your diet. Get your sugar from fruit. Fruits have the added benefit of vitamins and enzymes.
I've read a study that said that niacin helped to counter major depression.
