I am so sick and tired of this country and the mentality people have towards the government helping those in need. I hate that those of us who are struggling and need help to get well and get on our feet are treated like lazy leeches. I hate that getting help is so tough and the help we receive isn't enough to survive. And people actually believe people want to live the 'glamorous life' of living off of the government when all it does it keep people in poverty while the rich get richer. Fudge off with that garbage.
I can't wait until the day I leave this broken down society and go to a country that cares about its citizens. By then I will be able to give back to those in need.
And no I don't want anything from anyone. I just want to get WELL.

Many of you know Mr K told me to "shut your mouth" in March 2025 when we took a road trip to Alpena Michigan. Since that time, we have had lots of ups and downs but I have never intentionally hurt Mr K in anyway. And when we first started dating in 2024 he let me know, although he is an engineer by degree, he has an extremely low EQ. Overall, he is ok (not off the charts nice like other guys in...

I'm with you -- fed up completely by the status quo.
VOTE people who are oppressed -- that is our only chance for change to improve the quality of our lives. No vote = no power to change anything much at all.
Keep hanging in there -- and VOTE people!!!

I agree, those in need do have a rough time in this country with a CERTAIN SECTOR in society, not the society as a whole.
Don't forget, my friend, the government and those who are better off ACCUSE the impoverished, those in need, of being leeches off the tax payers, but, in fact,
these same government officials and the WEALTHY have their hands in the SYSTEM as well, except they aren't in NEED, they only suffer from GREED, taking advantage of government programs that benefit their wallets, also at the expense of the American taxpayer. But, you won't hear much about their antics; it's always the attack to put the spending problem on the poor and needy's back, you'll primarily hear from them.
The system is broken; our government's spending is way out of wack, but the programs that also need to be ADJUSTED are the ones that benefit the WEALTHY and the POLITICIANS and this wreckless spending agenda of theirs; supporting other countries (not needy people in those countries, mind you, the people don't benefit much at all from the billions our government spends trying to buy friends and influence people; this $$$ goes to the governments and high ranking officials in those countries who allow members of our government and high ranking officials of our military and power players providing contractor services to "clean up our messes" made when we are in those countries performing our military strategies, allowing all these greedy folks to "prosper" very well; and the corruption and the mismanagement of the American taxpayer's $$$$ goes on and on, ad nauseum, by those who really don't NEED it, but because of the lust of GREED ($$$$) they manipulate the government's spending ability to their gain.
Yes, the government social programs in this country have been "sliced" a portion, and the very troubling thing is that for the next 9 years (I think it's 9 years because the "sequester" was to span a 10 year period and last year was the first one; but encourage you to check this out because I may be wrong in that this may be the first of the 10 years that it is to transpire) anyway, each year hereafter, if the government cannot get it's shit together and create a "balanced budget", and I have very little confidence they will, we get another cut to our social programs, in ADDITION to the amount they are currently cut at. ANOTHER PERCENTAGE is added to the current percentage.
ugh.
It's no picnic in the other countries. This has just come ashore here, it's been "over there, and under there", wave after wave of "cutting" at the social programs they offer, but has just now become our "bitter" pill to swollow. The other countries are struggling too.
The new term to use is not "spending cuts" but "austerity measures".
ugh.
