Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

She texted me that i had an appointment on Thursday May 25. I saw the word Thursday and drove the 40 minutes it takes to get there only to find out my appointment had been Wednesday because Wednesday was the 25th....and that is the day she meant even though she called it Thursday! Perhaps I should have looked at the calendar to confirm the Thursday was indeed the 25th....because when I realized it was not ....I could have then looked into it. But I am angry.
This was not entirely my fault...and the second time she had days of the week confused. I also think I deserved a phone call Wednesday night or Thursday morning asking me where I was, because then I would not have made the trip. You know when she called me? When I was sitting in the waiting room waiting for my appointment that she said was on Thursday!
Also.....I referred a friend to her. I have had to limit my time with this friend because she criticises everything I do and that really doesn't help my state of mind. My husband, who was at the last appointment with me informed her that I was not friends with this person anymore, and the therapist said she knows. I told my husband that was not his information to share and pretty tacky since she and I are both clients. I am mad as heck that this friend is sitting there talking about me to someone I referred her to! And I find the therapist way out of line by sharing that information with us. She would not let me defend myself..she felt that would be crossing the line that she already crossed.
I have been toying with leaving...but I have been going to her for 5 years. I really hate to start over and we have made a little progress. I just don't know how to deal with the anger I am feeling, and the need to say something!

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmonĀ

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I agree that the date thing was a mixed thing, but she should have been 100% accurate in her date/day thing.
As for telling you things that your 'friend' has said and vice versa, the therapist should NEVER EVER DO THAT!
The therapist getting both sides could be helpful in understanding the issues though you might want to communicate information your own way.
