Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Maybe your meds wear off later in the day? Ask your Dr. if there is something that would make a difference.
So to answer your question, it comes at random time during the day, but at least everyday I'm crying.
Hang in there.
It usually helps release some of the stress and pain.
It sounds like your meds are helping, but that you're still depressed if you're still crying this much. Have you talked to your doctor about your medications and whether or not you are at a therapeutic level? It sounds like you're still depressed so probably need an adjustment.
Anyway, I hope you find the help you need and start to feel better.
I think I am depressed not sure. But I don't have an appetite, not interesting in alot of things anymore; there have been things going on in my life that makes me sad. I'm a cryer but lately I felt lost and extremely alone. I feel that no one cares about my feelings, my home life doesn't seem the same. I sometimes have thoughts in my head (not suicidal thoughts.) I used to enjoy playing games on the computer but I'm not that thrilled, Christmas is my favorite holiday but this year I'm miserable with emotions.
Everyday, at a certain time of day, like at 3:30 to 8:00 pm my mom begin to be in tears, she went thorough extreme stress, and lastly she had a bout with my dad. My parents were married for over 40 years, but they had been separated. My dad left our home when I was about 2 or 3 years old (I'm 41 now). Back in the month of apriil, my mom was awarded $75.00 from my dad's benefits and he got upset and sent a divorce summons to my mom in the mail (he lives in another state as we do.) Then on October 6 of this year, my mom was admitted to the hospital for dizziness (whenever she get very tensed, she passes out). They took tests and claimed that she has grandular leukemia but when we took it to someone else, who specializes in hoslistic medicine, he looked at my mom's chart paper and saw that her white blood cells are not bad and she do not have what the doctor's said, what they are doing is fighting off an infection in her body. This past Friday, mom and I went to see a hemologist for the third time. He told my mom that she did not have to take medication but the third time, he said that she has to and she became very upset about what he had said; he said that she has to take medication, which it has a lot of bad side effects to it. My mom has suffered with the what the doctor had said, she was told by negative people about how they lost loved ones due to leukmia (there is different types) but when someone hear the word leukemia, they think of death.
I'm trying to be okay, but I felt that my life is totally twisted.
But I know exactly what you are talking about, I hear that tears help release sad emotions.

Clinical depression .. or major depression is when a person is depressed for no apparent reason.
Both types CAN be alleviated with medication. Alleviated meaning 'lessened'.
A person in prison COULD be treated by letting them out of prison. Being in prison caused depression, getting out of prison reverses depression.
A person with clinical depression does not have that advantage .. there is no 'reason' for them to be depressed so there is nothing that can be 'corrected' to alleviate the depression. All they have are the common (or not so common) treatments for Clinical Depression.
My point is ... if there are reasons for your depression, medication AND 'changing something' can help you. If there are no (apparent) reasons, all you have is medication etc.
If you think you have clinical depression, tell your doctor about your 'afternoon blues'. He/she can adjust medication to take care of that. I suggest you print your post on paper .. and show it to your doctor.
One good thing about crying - when your eyes swell it makes the fine lines and wrinkles less noticeable. Feels better to laugh though. Thanks everyone.
