Does anyone know how testing of placebo drugs works?
Is it possible I'm being prescribed a placebo drug instead of the real thing without my knowledge? Except I think now I DO know!

If it comes from your doctor and is filled at your local pharmacy it is not a placebo. Why would you think it is?

I'm on 20mg. Last year it was doubled to 40mg when I was with a different pdoc and it knocked me out so I went back to just 20mg again.

The other day I took 10 capsules cause I just wanted to be numbed for a while, but it didn't do anything. Absolutely nothing.

You cannot be given a placebo by your doctor or pharmacist. The only time a placebo can be given is if you sign up to participate in a study group for a new drug and when you sign up, you sign a form saying you realize you have a 50/50 chance of getting a placebo.
I dont know what drug you are on, but certain drugs wont do any more for you if you take more.
