Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
My problems some so small overwhelm me all the time. The tiniest thing can get me down. I have been dreading Christmas. First year one of my children is gone and last year I will have another one with me. Plus just normal depression I get every year at this time.
I woke up this morning and on my Facebook page was a family photo of a friend who lost their 12 year old son about 18 months ago. This is their 2nd Christmas without him.
For today I am going to focus on that picture and try very hard to remember there are so much harder things to face in the world than what I go through. Not that what I think and feel isn't important or valid, but just that it could be so much worse and for 24 hours see if I can't put it aside.

It's easy to feel alone at Xmas just try to stay connected to people in some way. Can always head to the nearest church if you need to talk to someone face to face after all the services have stopped in the meantime. Most of the priests offer free counselling and don't have to be of the faith. It's one option at any rate Hope you feel better soon and the good news Xmas and the holidays will be over soon. I hope the new year brings you happiness, prosperity and peace.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
